Compute4Cure turns donated computers into Folding@home work units that support open biomedical research, including Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, influenza, and more.

Donate Computing Hardware
Useful computers and components can keep contributing long after their first use. We configure donated systems for Folding@home, monitor them for stability, and turn CPU/GPU capacity into completed research work units. We currently coordinate local donations in the Chicago, Milwaukee, and Northern Indiana areas.
- Modern NVIDIA GPUs, especially RTX 3060 or newer, have the highest throughput
- Stable desktops and workstations with adequate cooling and power delivery
- CPU-only systems may still be useful depending on age, condition, and power draw
- Drives can be wiped before pickup, or we can securely erase them before reuse
